Rebuilt Digital Avatar
Our founder, Bayo Windapo, was contracted by the African Centre for Cities (ACC), a research wing at the University of Cape Town, to develop the Rebuilt Transformation Lab digital avatar. This avatar is being developed on the Viktor platform as a repository for the research being collaboratively conducted by the ACC and Bauhaus Earth (BE) into a stakeholder-led framework for a more regenerative built environment in Cape Town and the Western Cape.
Through client engagements and participation in a series of workshops, it was revealed that the avatar is also a prototype for a web-based application that, in the future, could allow architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) professionals to immediately visualize the effects of material choices on structures in terms of cost and carbon footprint in the early stages of design thereby promoting sustainable building practices.
